6.23.2013// Olympics, GSP Version
Early this morning, all the church goers filed out and Hannah and I were left alone in the dorm. We took our time getting ready and the headed out to read in our spot for a little bit before brunch. Afterwards was our first grocery run and we got some yummy food for our fridge!

Afterwards, we had the official GSP Olympics! Everybody went with their seminars and needed a theme so we called ourselves the "Laupers" after Cindy Lauper because we were 80s themed! We all wore neon and looked awesome. There were games like trivia, a water balloon toss, and then more elaborate ones like “dizzy bat” where you spun around ten times hen tried to run to the opposite wall. We didn’t win a lot but we bonded as a seminar! We even pegged our RA with my water balloon since it was the last one (really proud I won that challenge!)

Hiking was unfortunately cancelled because there was a piano recital at the same time but we were too tired to go. Instead, we played a new game called Copy & Paste and wrote short stories. In Copy & Paste, if someone says something funny or awkward, you can say copy and the you have 3 pastes and you are allowed to use them whenever and the person has to say the funny or embarrassing quote! So far, I’ve got some pretty interesting ones on the roommates that I can’t wait to use ;)

Today was also the first running club and I’m incredibly glad I went! We walked 22 minutes and ran 8, walking and running took turns, And after it was over, I felt so energized that I ran our stairs two at a time all the way up to the 11th floor. I still haven’t taken the elevator! Tomorrow is the start of a new week with the reward of Family Day at the end!
