Today was a sad, yet heartwarming and long awaited day in our high school careers. The moment we accepted our Liberal Arts Academy Graduation Medallions and, in so many words, graduated from the Liberal Arts Academy at Henry Clay High School (but don't get this confused with actual graduation...that comes later!)
Friends and teachers alike gave inspiring speeches, we reminisced on memories, and also made some new ones that will hopefully last us a lifetime. I don't know where I would be without these people, and getting to be apart of their lives and a part of this community these past four years has been more than I ever could have asked for. The Academy has done so much for me, helped me when I've needed it and shown me so much support - I only hope that when we all separate and go our separate ways we still find a way to keep in touch.
So, here's to the past four years.
And here's to keeping the Facebook page alive.
And as my friend Adam likes to say, "I'd like to thank the Academy!" It's been real.
