4.02.2014// When in Florida - Day 5

Today was beach day and boy was the weather nice to us: 85+ F and not a single cloud in the sky. We made our way over to Cocoa Beach bright and early in the morning since the drive to there from our resort is about an hour. There we stayed wit home friends of Davis' family who were kind enough to let us use their beach and apartment for the day.

I'm telling you the day could not have been more perfect, in between sitting in the sand, we filled our time by swimming in the ocean, reading, laying out in the sun, and walking over to get smoothies from a little shop across the street. The best part about the bean was that it was a private beach meaning that it wasn't crowded at all so we could enjoy our day in quiet.

After a full day of sun and salt water, its completely logical for a person to be starving which is how all of us felt by the time we packed up our beach chairs and umbrellas around 5pm. Surprisingly, even though we stayed a good six hours on the beach, I didn't burn! We made our way to a local dive bar (which had the coolest fish tank I've ever seen in a restaurant) and had the best fish tacos known to man. Seriously, I would drive to Cocoa Beach just for those tacos. And then to wrap up our night before heading back (I think we got back to the resort sometime after 9pm today?) we made a quick pit stop in the first ever Ron Jon Surf Shop ever to be built which was pretty darn cool. Its crazy to think how massive of a company Ron Jon is nowadays, and that it started from one tiny shop in Cocoa Beach Florida!
