12.17.2013// Halfway Done
And with that, my first-last semester is over. No going back. And it only took 5 months and 6 (mostly excruciating) finals. Now, its time for two weeks and two days of freedom to do whatever my heart pleases, and think about anything and everything besides school.

Friday's finals were the easiest: Environmental Science and Mentoring - I feel pretty confident I aced both of those haha, considering for one I just had to memorize the answers, and for the other just do a quick presentation on my blog. The way schedules work during finals is that we only have four classes per day. We have two regular periods, and two extended periods of two hours each in which we have a final. Then, the classes rotate for three days so that we take two finals per day until we have taken all six.

Thursday, our Art History teacher wanted to give us part one of our final, 115 multiple choice questions, during a regular 45-minute class so that when we actually had our two-hour final class, he could have us write eight essays for two hours straight. Worst part, he wanted us to take the multiple choice before we had even finished reviewing. So we said, nuh-uh we're not having it (in a much more polite way of course!) and asked if we could move that part of the test back so we could have more time to study. In the long run, I'm not entirely sure how much better that plan of action was...?

Monday was my worst day: Calculus, that Art History, and English. Calculus was brutal. My god, it as horrible. I had studied furiously all throughout the weekend, but I knew no amount of work was going to prepare me 100%. Being on the verge between an A and a B, I knew I had to play it very carefully - I had to do well to keep my A. I guess now I just have to wait with fingers crossed until grades are in... Art History was, well, it was Art History. Long, not too difficult, but a pain to get through. That one, I'm not too worried about. English however, boy that one was tough. It was modeled after an actual AP Lit test, but the problem is that we've only had one previous practice AP Lit test, thus we didn't have much practice. The essay was fairly easy and although the multiple choice were fairly ambiguous and seemed as if they had multiple answers, most of the passages where from The Importance of Being Earnest which I enjoyed very much;)

Tuesday, at least the second part of the day, was a breeze. In the morning, I had those eight essays to write which killed my hand and my brain but luckily, the second test of the day was Sociology. I had originally been worried about it because the teacher had said there would be 70 multiple choice questions and 2 essays, but when she passed it out, it was only about 60 (only 4 more than our study guide) and only 1 essay. Piece of cake - everyone finished within half an hour and then we had an hour and a half to kick-back before our break officially started.

And then start it did!

The original plan was to go ice skating in our downtown rink with a group of friends buuuttttt.... that fell through ahha. Not because we didn't hang out! But because we're wimpsn and it was far too cold outside:) Instead, we headed to a coffeshop where we proceeded to drink hot drinks in comfy chairs and chat, for about 4 hours straight. Ah, the life. Afterwards, several parted ways but Sophia, Lukas, and I, hardcore party kids we are, kept the night alive. Meaning, we went and got Thai takeout and ate it back at Sophia's while watching Bad Girls Club. We are hardcore, don't you dare tell us otherwise;) I would post pictures but they are all horrid snapchat screenshots of either Sophia making the Miranda Sings face (Sophia is obsessed with her Youtube videos) or me pretending to be in Bad Girls Club, or Lukas just being Lukas haha.

All in all, the perfect way to end the semester.
