This weekend, after hearing so much about the new French bakery in town, National Boulangerie, I just had to go and check it out for myself. I had originally found out about it from my friend, Sophia, who lives within walking distance to the bakery, but after reading a post on one of my favorite blogs about it (read the post here!) I was sold. And the place lived up to my expectations!
The place itself is decorated beautifully - situated in an old brick building, the interior is decked out with marble and red sofas and metal tables. I didn't get a chance to snap a picture because it was so packed, but check out the ones Tiffany took when she reviewed the bakery!
As for the food, gorgeously presented and yum. The bread, which I didn't get the opportunity to try out (but I definitely will have to soon!) was just sitting on racks in woven baskets, teasing me, compelling me to buy them...all of them.
I met up with Sophia and we chit-chatted over croissants and lattes, claiming we were going to study. Pshh, as if that was going to happen haha. Eventually, after an hour (or maybe two) we hightailed it out of there and walked back to Sophia's to actually try and get some work down. However, the afternoon mainly consisted of us gossiping making lunch, watching hulu, and getting minimal work done. Those kinds of days are the best kinds of days:)
