A Rave in the Rain

So today was the much awaited Family Day! My parents were here promptly at 8am and we went up to the lake to have breakfast. Afterwards, I drove on the highway for the first time all the way back home - boo-yah!

Being back home felt incredibly strange. Partly because I knew I couldn’t fully enjoy it because I would have to leave at the end of the day. Nonetheless, we ate delicious home-cooked meals, relaxed a little, and even went out a little to shop/pick up some things. I also got a haircut (though it seems like everyone else on campus did too!) I must say though that the weirdest thing was seeing GSP kids in my hometown just out and about shopping! They just kept walking by, one after the other. I partly expected them to be wearing their lanyards haha :P

I won’t lie and say that it was easy to leave the parents and home behind because it wasn’t. But now, I know the time will go by much faster than before. And seeing as how I brought my Big Bang Theory poster with me, I’ll always have a piece of home;) And man, going back home allowed me to restock on food but now I have absolutely no drawer space anymore haha! Life of a foodie :P

Once we got into our RA meeting, yesterday’s suspicions were confirmed when Leanndra announced that we would be having a rave! Turns out they don’t hate us after all haha. So we got all decked out in neon and went downstairs only to find out it had been cancelled due to rain and lightning :( Sad and disappointed, we spent the rest of the night in the boys’ lobby playing games until curfew. Now off to bed because today's emotions wiped me out! Do I feel sorry for those poor souls *cough* Bria *cough* Jessica *cough* heading off to church in the morning because its 12 and we are still not in bed!
