In terms of sickness, I think it’s starting to go away - slowly, but
surely. Even though I felt better, I still didn’t feel quite up to par
meaning I had to skip the grocery run, the hike, and running club. But,
the best part about Sundays is the fact that everyone goes to church and
the campus is serenely quiet for the first part of the day:)
Besides taking class pictures today and almost getting assassinated,
we had an event called Getcha Feet Wet. This entailed signing up last
Thursday for an activity that we had never done before. Of course, since
I wasn’t there to pick, I was just given the event nobody else wanted:
Folk Dancing. But ironically, I probably would have picked it anyway! It
was so much fun:D My RA was the one who taught the class along with
another RA, Rick, and it was just really awesome. We did a couple circle
dances and some line dances. I had Leanndra write some of them down for
me: Jiffy Mixer, San Antonio Stroll, White Silver Sands, Old Chunk of
Coal, Popcorn, Celebration, and Louisiana Saturday. There was twirling,
and spinning, and jumping, and dosie-doing, and so much laughing that I
forgot I was sick:) The rest of the day was pretty laid-back considering
I still don’t have my energy back - hopefully I’ll be good tomorrow! Oh
and thanks to the lovely Jessica, she has taken care of her sick
roommate and I now have a fridge stocked with cheese sticks and water;)
