3.04.2014// Crepes on National Pancake Day

This one goes out to the sweetest and most petite Indian girl (nay, woman!) I know! Happy birthday, Urvi! Here's to you and everything amazing I know you will accomplish in your future! Those Ivy League schools would be darn lucky to have you as a student.

We were lucky that school was cancelled (yet again) on account of all the snow and we rallied up and met at La Petite Creperie, Lexington's own French crepe bistro downtown for brunch. It was cold outside, but the crepes and steady supply of coffee warmed us all up.

that murderous smile...it could kill
(fear not, no urvi's were harmed in the taking of this picture)

Urvi's birthday fell exactly on Fat Tuesday, thus a Mardi Gras theme was absolutely necessary. That fact explains why we we're wearing masks/hats and look so incredibly creepy in the picture below. It was a funny image, fourteen young adults, having brunch in the middle of the week in a French bistro , excitedly discussing the Oscars, while playing loud Mardi Gras music in the background, which I came to discover just means a lot of soul and trumpet. I'm sure we thoroughly amused the owners.

the whole group!

love how urvi is one of the oldest, but will forever be the shorts
No doubt a great way to spend a snow day! P.S. our total amount of snow days this year has reached 13, count em 13 days. I haven't been to a single full week of school this entire year. This is getting ridiculous. But then again, I'm also really proud of my haven't-been-to-a-full-week-of-school streak.
Oh yes! and we also felt it appropriate that we were eating crepes on National Pancake Day.
SO, besides, Happy Birthday Urvi, happy National Pancake Day to all!
Congratulations Urv!
You deserve everything your heart desires
Thank you for being such a kind friend
Much love
Lu
