Let me just preface this with the whole 5 weeks we've had classes since break, I haven't been to a single full week. And there's something really exciting about that, and something that makes me want to keep this trend going if we're being honest haha. This morning I woke up to that outside my window and classes cancelled for the second time this week. I can't say I minded, not in the slightest. The only weird part is that the snow came out of nowhere?! I had no idea this storm was blowing our way, and blow it did because it was strong enough to knock our huge tree out front just right over.
To take advantage of my snow day, I did all the usual including sleeping in, having a leisurely breakfast, and doing a whole bunch of relaxing. Who does work on snow days? HA. As if. I had the fireplace on and the house was so cozy that I found myself taking a random nap in the middle of the day. Those are always the best. But I wasn't completely unproductive all day! I spent a good part of my morning working on my friend Sophia's birthday present. Which, I know isn't for another couple months but I had the most amazing idea and I couldn't not do anything about it. I won't say what it is now, but I'll just say that it took me three days to make and it'll get here the 20th! Back to the snow day topic really quickly, while I do enjoy the 'not going to school part' I am going to sorely regret liking it when we're graduating two weeks later than originally planned. Right now, we're going all the up to June 9th versus May 28th when we were originally supposed to graduate -.-
Monday we also had another snow day so Kristen and I got together to do a little catch up in math, and a little catch up in gossip. Since the roads were so bad, we got there right when the coffee shop was supposed to open but the person who was supposed to open it wasn't there yet haha. She got there only a few minutes later than us but to compensate for us waiting in the cold, she made our coffee for free:) Although we had absolutely no idea how to do our math, lucky for us gossiping is easy to do. We probably spent a good couple hours there? I even ran into an old friend who had graduated a couple years back! Monday was incredibly busy and even though Kristen and I could probably have talked for hours, I had to cut our coffee date short in order to make it on time to a college interview. Not going to lie, I was so nervous to go that I had Kristen make a lap around the building in her car before I mustered up the courage to go in. My interview was for Brown and so far as I know, I only have another person from our class who applied so he is my only competition. I think it went well? I'm never a good judge when it comes to things like this. And god knows I'm worse at speaking to people! There weren't any lulls in the conversation though and I'll take that as a good sign. However, there was one point where I spent 15 minutes describing the plot of the book I'm writing to him which was probably 14 minutes to much but hey, maybe he'll just take that as I sign showing how passionate I am about writing?! Maybe hopefully?!
The interview lasted around 45 minutes which I've heard is a very good amount seeing as how you at least want to make it longer than half an hour so woo I at least did something right! Afterwards, I met up with another friend, Callie, and we went to our first Zumba class. And we had a blast! The instructor was this incredibly lady who was in her fifties but could move as if she was in her thirties! She let us tie these skirts around our waists and at the hems were attached about a hundred coins that jangled every time you made any kind of movement. The made the entire night that much more fun. Zumba was incredibly fun, but dang some of those dances were tough. I can still feel the soreness in my legs and my stomach and its been more than a day! Still worth it though -- when's the next class?!
