"A self-portrait, once a week, every week, in 2014."

sometimes there is absolutely no motivation behind getting out of bed. i live for days like that.

This past week I've been reading called Dora: A Headcase which I came across the place I volunteer. It's funny because it's one of those books where you'll be reading reading reading then BAM! The author throws a curveball at you that you had no way of predicting. It's funny because I keep reading it in school and I'll always gasp at the most inappropriate of times like while everyone else is still testing or while I'm supposed to be listening to lecture. Oops haha the things I do for literature. I'm nearly finished with it and it tells the story of a young girl in Seattle as she struggles to find her own way. Apparently it was based on one of Sigmund Freud's own case studies which I find way cool. Today was spent around the house doing a variety of things. The weirdest however was that I woke up (rather late for me, around 10) and nobody was home! The parents were just gone! Poof! So I called them and turns out they were at the urgent treatment center and mom had a broken toe. She's fine now! They think she needs to go to a specialist for his opinion, and her nail will most definitely fall off in six months but hey she'll live and that's all we care about! A very strange way to start off the day, but come to think of it's probably not the strangest I've ever experienced.
