11.01.2013// Bring it, November
Now that October's over, and Halloween and trick-or-treaters have come and gone, I'm ready for November!

Today, I played hookie from school to work on college essays and the lot. I would say I have a bad case of senioritis (which is true, not going to lie) but! I did actually do work, so I'm going to let it slide haha:)

I met up with a friend around eight in the morning at one of our favorite bakeries, and we didn't leave until one. We spent a solid five hours writing college supplements over lattes and pumpkin muffins. I have to say, we make a good team! Afterwards, we walked back to her house to eat lunch while watching The Newsroom and relax after our long day of working.

Then, there was babysitting where we hunted for slugs and bounced on pogo sticks for at least two hours. It was a beautiful day to play outside and we took full advantage of it! Only after babysitting was over could the Halloween festivities begin.

Traditional Halloween was yesterday and there plenty of kids in costumes at school, but thanks to a wild thunderstorm, the trick-or-treating got pushed to today. However, mom was out of the house and I had plans so sadly, we didn't pass out candy this year:/ Instead, I met up with a friend and we did the usual lets-wander-aimlessly-downtown-until-there's-nothing-left-to-do-so-we-just-go-get-coffee. Its a good routine -- works every time!

We went to one of my favorite places (although, Lexington has recently been buzzing with new coffee shops!) and in a funny, yet really awkward way, I ran into one of my Writing Center teachers there. I loved that when he asked me how school went today, and I said I didn't go, he just laughed! Makes me feel better about being a senior;)

To round off the night, there was some Walking Dead watching and some Halloween candy eating.

Though it's a day late:
Hats off to October!
and hello, November!
