Update

Lately, it seems as if I’ve been trying to think up interesting things to write about, but any post I come up, I tend to disregard as trivial or silly. I guess what I’m trying to say is, school has been eating up my time lately — literally, all of my time, just…gone. I’ve barely made any progress in my college applications, and a lot of my projects have taken the back burner in lieu of working on short term goals, like homework and not failing math quizzes. So I guess, here are some random things that have been going on lately:

-I can officially get my license in 2 weeks! Now I just need to learn to parallel park…
-Last week, we finally got a group together and spoke to an administrator about how our Environmental class is a joke, how nobody takes that class seriously, how nobody respects the teacher, and how students should not be teaching 100% of the material. Today we walk in and she hands us the survey and the first question is “What is going right in this class?” — I left the question blank…Hopefully now that administrators are involved, something can be fixed about that class, although it’s clear we won’t be getting a new teacher.
-I’ve started a book club! With 2 of my friends, we’ve decided we already recommend books to each other and read the same things, so why not make it official! We’re currently working on setting up a blog for it;) We also have the day of October 22nd marked as the day Allegiant from the Divergent series comes out, and also as a day all three of us will be “sick” aka reading in bed all day.
-Our class will be going to see a Les Mis performance next week and that will be my first time seeing it…ever. I get hard-core judged for never having seen the movie so hopefully seeing the play will level out some of that:)
-Today, after getting through a brutal Calc quiz, and then an even worse Calc lesson, we enjoyed a leisurely lunch watching The Mindy Project. Perhaps not school appropriate, no, but entertaining nonetheless.
-I just need to finish all my shows and all my books and not pick up anything new (which is harder than it looks!) and maybe then I can actually get some college work done! Almost done with the 5th Mortal Instruments and I can’t put it down!
-Also today, my friend Courtney and I went out to take pictures in a little wooded area by our school and they turned out great! I was going to upload them but the email got deleted, and everything is a mess, so we’ll just leave that for tomorrow:)

Not much else I can think of…the amount of work and stress is really getting to me. I barely have time to do anything fun, and I haven’t worked on my book for over a week. Maybe this weekend I can get some stuff done (though I always say that and I never do…) On the bright side, only 10 more days until Fall break!
