9.09.2013// Monday Funday
But, not really. Mondays are excruciating, it’s just a given.
The school part, brutal. However, after school I didn’t mind at all;)
Calculus was fast-paced as always, Art History is always entertaining, especially when he gives us food, and Environmental was so bad today that one of our lesson leaders started crying. We were doing an activity and our teacher was making it so unnecessarily difficult for the group leaders to control the class that one of them just couldn’t handle it. It was supposed to be a fun activity but it was completely ruined. I dread the remainder of the year if everyday in that class will be like today. English was a catch-up day since I’m behind because of missing a day last week, and in Sociology my partner and I finished our project early and spent the rest of the hour gossiping and chatting about books and shows we had in common! Glad to know I’m not the only one with an obsession for teen drama fiction;)
Since I leave school and don’t have a 6th hour, since I mentor, I usually go work on the blog or find some other work to do. Today however, I decided to play hookie for a day. A friend I hadn’t seen in a while and I went out for some coffee to catch up for the hour and then we came back to school for history club. History is one of the few clubs I’ve actually stuck with for an extended time so it’s probably good that we were awarded Best History Club in the Nation for several years now! The sponsor is that good. I signed up for several projects including working at a local African cemetery, working for a local artist, and helping a school in Nebraska set up their own history lab like the one we have!
Last year, my best friend and I kept a journal that we would pass every few days and we would write letters to each other about anything going on or just random thoughts. Happy to say I have this years journal all ready for the first switch tomorrow:)
