9.01.2013// Autumn Is Here
Happy First Day of Autumn! Not technically, but it still counts in my book, for all intents and purposes. It still didn’t feel like fall. Much too humid.

Today’s morning I spent over at a friend’s house taking part in a clothes swap! I love doing these things because I simultaneously clean my closet of unnecessary junk and then fill it with some other unnecessary junk that will just be recycled in another one of these swaps later! I get a couple good wears in though;) I’m incredibly pleased with the things I picked up, all very versatile and easy to pair with tons of other outfits. I scored big time! After that, what we didn’t trade, I took to a local store that buys up gently used name-brand clothing but unfortunately, they made me wait 45 minutes and then only bought a couple pieces totaling up to not even $20.

Once home, it was time to put in a little work hours before heading out again. This year, for English Lit, we are required to read the Bible and several other Mythological stories. I tend to be a generally open-minded and accepting person, and in fact, one of my 17 Experiences I had hoped for was that I would become better acquainted with religion. However, I do not know how I feel about being taught religion in a classroom setting and having to discuss it/analyze it/reflect on it with some classmates who I am certain do not share the same beliefs as me. There is a fine line between religion and the school setting and this may be pushing it. I just wish to spare any unnecessary drama that can be avoided. For now, I think it’s an interesting idea and hopefully it remains a positive experience.

It’s funny how the sweater I am wearing and the jumper underneath were both traded today! I like how one girl’s donation to Goodwill can be another’s treasure:) The Bulgarians picked me up and we went out for our usual dinner and a movie.

The dinner, as always, didn’t disappoint. Neither did the cute waiter who remembered us from last time;) Also, a classmate works at this particular restaurant and I keep trying to see him but he’s never working whenever I go! After dinner, our movie of choice to end the night with was The Heat. Nothing like Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy beatin’ up some drug dealers to wear you out!
