4.07.2014// 2 Day Rest Day

Of the past 24 hours, I've probably slept through 34 of them no lie. On the one hand, it feels great to be back home sleeping in my own bed, but then on the other hand I'm seriously missing the Florida heat.

Let's see -- we made the entire trek from Florida up to Kentucky in one day, but instead of it being the 13 or so hours, we had to take on an extra two (not including pit stops and food runs) to drive the girls to the airport in the morning. That being said, of our 15 hour car ride, I probably sleet through ten of those hours only stopping for bathroom breaks and a quick bite to eat. I wasn't the most fun person in the car that day but dang did I need the rest.

But then, the sleeping saga continues! We got back in Lexington at around midnight and the town was wide awake after UK made it to the Championship basketball game. There was the customary rioting and burning of couches on State Street and amidst all the hype (and thanks to my sleeping i the car) I went to bed sometime around 2am. The following day, after sleeping in till about 10/11am, I then proceeded to attempt all my homework I dutifully didn't do while on vacation. But when that turned out to be a bust, I slept through half of the day waking up around six for dinner.

Hold on, hold on, it keeps going! After crashing at a reasonable hour (considering I had school today, ew) I still somehow managed to oversleep by an hour in the morning. Jeeeeezzz, talk about sleep deprivation. And by now I'm sure you're all bored of reading all that, so I'll talk about something else...

I leave for New York tomorrow night! So pretty much, I got back from Florida, I have two random days to rest, and then I'm off again.Truthfully, that's how I justify all this random sleep because we leave tomorrow at midnight!! I am beyond excited, but the only thing that is a pain is that even though we leave at midnight, we don't technically leave until 3am. We have to get to school at midnight, then we take a charter bus up to Cincinnati which is where the train leaves from at 3:30am, and then 16 hours later, we arrive in Grand Central! Oh gosh, that train ride is going to be bru-tal. Oh well, I am sure we will find ways to entertain ourself haha.

That is why I have to kick it in high gear and get all my work done so I'm not worried about getting behind. That means blogging, blogging, and blogging. Next time you hear from me, I'll be in New York!
