3.31.2014// When in Florida - Day 3
the obligatory 'disney universal' photo!
don't mind us as we all look in different directions, not a single one of them being the camera.

And day 3 takes its toll! Today, we were up bright and early (this is where being an early bird is to my benefit, I was the first one up and running) and after a quick breakfast on the porch we hit the road. First, and only, stop for the day: Disney Universal Studios. It was my first time going, and besides being terrified of having to face my fear of roller coasters, I was pumped!

Blair and Haley were precious. I mentioned how their flight kept getting delayed and delayed and then finally cancelled, right? Well, Saturday night after finding out that they were set back a day they decided to get crafty. They made a dash for target, bought matching tank tops, and then ironed on 'SB2K14' for spring break 2014 on the front, and then their respective names on the back. I have to say I was jealous, I wished I had one too!

The rides themselves weren't too bad -- turns out we had hit the wrong park and gone to the one with mainly simulators which are the indoor rides vs. the massive outdoor rides that are in the other disney parks. Lucky for me I guess! However, I didn't get that lucky because even though it was predominantly indoor rides, there was one outdoor ride (pictured above) that I was tricked into riding. More on that whole deal coming in a later post.

The simulators were pretty cool, I have to say. There was a Mummy ride, a Transformers one, a Men in Black one, and so on. We also saw The Terminator and Shrek in 4D which was also pretty awesome. I think in the picture we're waiting in line for Transformers which was probably my favorite, or at least it tied with the Mummy. They had the best graphics and were the most believable. Oh and another thing! I'd forgotten about the lines and the waiting! There were some rides that we went on almost immediately (like the outdoor one, unfortunately) but for some other ones we had to wait nearly an hour. Phew it had totally slipped my mind that waiting in long lines was one of the most crucial aspects of Disney.

We met far too many famous people, and we got a picture with every single one of them;) Funny story! As we're walking around looking for Betty Boop to snap a quick photo with her, who do we run into but one of our classmates! Hey James -- pretty rad running into you like that in Florida of all places! Seems like Universal, and the Florida coast was a pretty popular spring break destination this year.

We left the park at around 4/5pm making our total hours spent there about severn or eight. By the end, we were all a little sun burnt, thoroughly exhausted and beyond dizzy from going on all the simulators. That was another thing, those 3D rides, though really fun, too much and you start getting sick which we all learned by the end of the day haha. Regardless, we returned back to our condo and almost immediately hit the pool and hot tub to relax after a long day. So far, that's pretty much how I see our days going -- activities during the day, relaxing by night. So far, so good.
