3.25.2014// Random Whiteout
Alright.
Lets get one thing straight.
It is March.
This is downright unacceptable.
Do not let my smile fool you: I was not pleased with the turn of today's events.
So it's a regular Tuesday, right? I got up early, even earlier than usual because I have to make my way to school and fight for a parking spot, then it's your average run-of-the-mill school day. You know, go to some classes, sleep through some classes, watch some movies in the rest. And then when you're not doing that you're either eating or making socially awkward interactions with people (or at least that's how it is for me..is that not how it is for everybody else??) But that's school, and it's boring, and I try and get it over with as fast as possible. Next Dominik and I go to our weekly volunteering sesh at the best place on earth aka heaven aka International Book Project. We sorted some books, packed some shipments, and even scored a couple new reads for over spring break. I made out of there with three new beauties, including a Palahniuk I've been wanting to get my hands on for a while. I'll be thoroughly entertained over our week off.
Then we get to the random whiteout that I still don't understand. Dom and I are driving from volunteering and heading out to Common Grounds aka my second home when all of a sudden its a freaking blizzard outside. The snow is coming down hard as can be, everything lis covered within minutes, and it's so fast that you can barely see a foot out in front of you. We braved it head on and I tell ya I felt like a superhero because I got us safely across downtown without a hitch.
Lusi: 1 Winter: 0
That's right. It should be spring, get it together Kentucky.
Regardless, we made it safely inside the warm coffee shop, got ourselves some steamin' joe and then proceeded to not do any work, which was the opposite of what we were planning on doing. And by the time we made it back outside, ready to brave the howling wind and snow an hour and a half later, it had just stopped.
Weirdest. Thing. All. Week.
Ok. So that's probably an exaggeration, but you get what I mean.
Alright, that was my last weather related post of the winter, I swear.
Lukova out.
