8.15.2013// And on the Second Day, There was Homework
You see, it’s all coffee and relaxing breakfasts until the teachers decide they should bombard their kids with homework. On the second day of school. And while they’re at it, they scheduled a couple assessments, too -.-
As a whole, I would say today was a pretty rockin’ second day. We took an assessment in both English and Environmental Science, but neither was too difficult. However, it was in Calculus, Art History, and Environmental (my first three classes) that we got bombarded with homework. I gotta say, it was pretty ridiculous. This tea^^ was the only thing getting me through it!
Good parts about today included getting elected Student Council Representative which means that I will be assisting in planning the Homecoming dance this year. I’ve never been to one so this should be fun! I got asked by my English teacher to be he leader of a new writing seminar/workshop she is spearheading which was super cool of her to think of me! Also, today I reaffirmed my plans to get taught yoga very soon by a dear friend and I also began my afternoon job! I say the word “job” loosely because it is just babysitting, but it is 3 times a week for the entire year and I absolutely adore the kids.
Those would be my excited, second day of school faces! Tomorrow, I get to move into my locker, and that’s pretty exciting because who likes heavy textbooks anyway?!
