7.30.2013// Long Country Roads Trump Anything
Today, my morning was slow and consisted of me finishing my huge timeline for Art History which is one part of our summer work. It looks pretty rad if I may say so myself ;) However, the second part of my day was spent out town! I drove mom and some family friends to a nearby town called Midway through these beautiful country back roads, lined with gorgeous old houses (the kind I can only dream of living in), where we had been before to walk around and get some dinner.
The whole town is really tiny, we were in what is probably downtown, and it didn’t consist of more than a street line with shops and places to eat on both sides. We had been here before and were hoping to browse around the stores before we sat down, but we neglected the fact that this is in fact a small town and the stores closed early. Thus, we were out of lucky. Nevertheless, we ventured into a nearby restaurant, hid under a large umbrella shielding us from the sprinkling rain, and enjoyed a leisurely dinner with friends. It was a lovely afternoon escape:)
We even caught the train passing by as we were leaving!
