Ok, so I know that you guys are thinking...ugh not another one of these posts. The ones where Lusi gets all sentimental and sad and yada yada yada. But guys! It's the
end of high school. This stuff happens
once in a lifetime! Just bear with me a little while longer, and let me reminisce and bombard you with photos. This might be one of the last times I get to *sniff sniff*
On one of the rare occasions that I actually decided to work second semester, you could find me in any random coffee shop. And in this case, with Sophia on the couch next to me.
Because I'm a strong independent woman, who don't need no man, I make my own kickbutt breakfasts when my parents are out of town.
This is pretty much how class went the last week of school...yes, our teacher is buying concert tickets in the middle of class...yes, we are getting covered by plastic...it's for "art", ok?
And also like this, movie after movie after movie.
And when we're not in school, Sophia and I like to go to Trader Joe's for fun to buy flowers and groceries. Because, ya know, when both sets of parents are out of town, someone's got to be responsible;)
Art History! I've said this so many times but this class was the absolute best. My favorite class and teacher senior year. First, we had a competition to see who could make the best cake that looked like a famous piece of artwork. Second, we ate that cake;) Ours was a Lichtenstein. Remember when we painted huge canvases like Pollock one day? Well, we got them back! Our teacher cut them up and stapled them to plywood so we could take them home. It was crazy, some of the paint splotches were still wet, even after more than a month and a half. And to end the best Art History class of the year, our teacher gave us each a personalized letter and handpicked a piece of art that he taught best represented us. He chose Eadwine the Scribe for me because he knew I loved to write:) Also, at the beginning of the year when he was still learning who we were, he wrote our names on Magic the Gathering cards and he also gave those back, too.
And of course, being seniors, right after we made cake in Art History we went out for lunch to refuel (because making and eating cake is exhausting) and cram for our finals.
My locker for the past two years, next to the Dominik, the best of friends. Freshman year my locker was...?? Did I even have one?? Sophomore year I shared one with my friend Mary Rollins and everyday we would leave little notes for each other. That was fun:) But hands down, this locker takes the cake. Its in the middle of everything, across from the History Club classroom, and next to a really rad person (yes, I'm talking about Dom, again.) Orange locker #323, you've done me well, probably because you're number is a palindrome and I'm superstitious about stuff like that.
We wouldn't be typical teenagers if we didn't throw a little shindig when our parents were out of town, now would we? ;) Now worries, we kept it PG and classy, and that is sparkling cider in my glass haha. And if you've ever seen the show New Girl, then you'll know what Sophia means by "True American." If you havent, then watch
this. It's strange, it's confusing, there are a lot of rules that don't make sense, and it is crazy fun. It is very #'MURICAN and all that's missing are some bald eagles. But again, our version is modified to include some less illegal beverages.
The Fault in Our Stars! The long awaited made-for-the-big-screen John Green plot hit the movies and we were at the premiere to see it. We kept the same crew that we had for went we went to see the premiere of Divergent, and it was pretty rad. But sorry to disappoint, I didn't shed any tears. Now if you ask me about the book, that's a whole other story...
Oh yeah! Did I forget to mention our Art History teacher also made us cupcakes?!
There was some matching of the Leah and Lusi variety on the last day of school. Naturally, we had to document it for the internet.
There were many a graduation party...
The Academy won a superlative in the school paper! Worst case of Senioritis lol!
And then there was this little piece of heaven. Our dearest friend Jared decided he was going to surprise us all by bringing us Chipotle for lunch on the last day. And we're not just talking a little bit of Chipotle. Oh no, this was Chipotle in all its full catering glory. Just look at how massive those bags are!! Needless to say we all rejoiced! I mean just look at how ecstatic Ryan is from the pictures below! People from other classes heard and came to grab some, even the principal stopped by and approved:)

also in gif form because it was too epic to pass up |
And lastly, it wouldn't be the last day of school if we didn't raise some hell. In the typical last day of school fashion, we counted down until the last bell rung (in a manner very reminiscent of High School Musical haha) and once it did went a little berserk. There was screaming, yelling, cheering, and most importantly the rampant chucking of the leftover-papers-that-you-no-longer-care-about-because-school-is-out high in the air (like you just don't care. because technically the bell rang. so you don't really care anymore. yes, i went there. *drops mic*)
Well, that was fun haha:)
And if we're being honest senior year has been hands down my favorite.
Here's to hoping our reunions are just as fun!
