No joke, though. It seems as if this summer has been nothing but goodbyes: I left, then came back, then I left again, now mom’s gone, she’ll come back in a month, and then dad is off for 3 weeks. No cohesive family for us this year! We make it work though:) First night of dad and I solo: not so bad!
Today was probably my best day of the week so far. Nothing terribly exciting happened, but it was fun nonetheless. All hat stressing over my Calc quiz paid off because I nailed it with a 94%! (still don’t know how that happened?!) Then after that we had a sub in Art History, and I had her freshman year (she still remembers me) and she is a riot! Then English and lunch I always enjoy and Sociology is a breeze, and then I leave! I babysat and it was fun, and then once I got home, I got more work done than expected so yay for less stress!
I’m glad that even though I am sad mom left, I know she’ll have an amazing time seeing family and she’s earned this break, and my day still managed to be good despite the sad goodbye :)

8.20.2013// Zzzz...
AKA the day Lusi felt like a walking Zombie. I probably, if I was left to do anything, could have slept the entire day. Good thing we don’t have school on Friday!

Otherwise, nothing riveting happened today…same old, same old. However, today they gathered all the seniors in the gym to give us our yearly stern talking to about how we should behave and all that jazz. And of course, right in the middle of said talking to, we have a kid called out for dipping right in front of our principal and 3 other executives. Only in our school would this happen… Oh! and this morning, I had quite the stressful encounter with cars honking at me on my little scooter. Not a fun way to start off the day.

On a sad note, tomorrow while I’m at school, om heads off for Bulgaria and leaves dad and I all alone for a month :( Good thing we have Skype! And, when she comes back, she’s bringing grandpa along with her and this will be his first time in the states, so I can’t wait for that!
And on a happier note, to close things off, I just got a phone call from a friend who’s been in Bulgaria these past 2 odd months: he’s landed safely and is on his way home! He said he’s got plenty of stories to share:)
